Individual Pupil Programs;
Phnom Penh
The Phnom Penh Individual Pupil Program (IPP) started in November 2001 with 2 students who made initially contact with the organization through Veasna Chea, one of CASF founding members. Our first student, Ee Arun, was in 9th grade when she first became a CASF student. Last month, she graduated high school and is now enrolled in the University Women’s Program.
Since its inception in 2001, the program has grown to include 15 students – all poor and at-risk girls – who attend 7 different schools in the greater Phnom Penh area. Students’ ages range from 11 to 18 and all are currently are in grades 6 through 12 at school. Every student’s individual need is continually assessed to ensure that they receive enough support to study as they wish. Current scholarships for students in the Phnom Penh IPP range from $13 to $30 per month and are set by our Program Director in Phnom Penh.
