“MY MOST IMPORTANT FEELING FOR CASF”

When I work with sister Dary, our Director, I have a great feeling. You know, when I worked with Catherine Cousins, who was the director of Open Book, I had a dream -- I dreamed that one day I can work with children on a larger scale and personally help them. In the past, I worked for a smaller, important NGO for street children. The free street library proved very satisfying for me until my recent experience of working as a student intern with the Cambodian Arts and Scholarship Foundation.

Now that I am working for CASF, I feel really proud and happy because my dream that I want to help Cambodia children is coming true through the mission of education of poor, at-risk girls. I just hope I can continue to grow in this opportunity because I am trying. The most important point for me is always helping children in Cambodia. When I went to the province with sister Dary, I asked girls, “Are you happy or not, now you have the opportunity to study at school?” They ALL said, “Yes, I’m really happy so much.”

I said back to them, “Me too.”

I don’t have another point to add because our organization was created to help children, in this way from the village to university. This is the first goal that I think is the foundation of CASF. In the end, I wish all friends and supporters of The Cambodian Arts and Scholarship Foundation health and good luck.
